Amitabh Bachchan’s Shamitabh, Ranbir Kapoor’s Roy and Varun Dhawan’s Badlapur: Here’s the box office verdict of February releases!
While January turned out to be a dull month for Bollywood, let’s take a look at how films fared in the month of February…
Quite a few big budget films released in the first month of 2015. Arjun Kapoor’s Tevar, Akshay Kumar’s action thriller Baby and Ayushmann Khurrana starrer Hawaizaada to name a few. While Tevar didn’t live up to the expectations, Hawaizaada on the other hand failed to make any sort of impact at the box office. As for Baby, well, Akki’s film was the only one which actually got cash registers jingling to an extent. However, none of the films actually created hungama at the ticket windows in January. Coming to February, the second month of 2015 kicked off with Amitabh Bachchan and Dhanush starrer Shamitabh hitting the theaters. Next big film which came out was Ranbir Kapoor, Jacqueline Fernandez and Arjun Rampal’s romantic thriller Roy alongside MSG: The Messenger. Then Varun Dhawan and Nawazuddin Siddiqui starrer Badlapur made way to the big screen and on Friday YRF’s new venture Dum Laga Ke Haisha released with Nana Patekar starrer Ab Tak Chhappan 2. But have any of the films performed exceptionally well at the BO? Read on to find out…
