Akshay Kumar meets Arwind Kejriwal to discuss the pressing issue to farmers’ suicide

The actor was recently in Delhi for a fashion show that aimed at raising funds to support farmers

Agrarian crisis have become one of nation’s most disturbing and most rampant issues that requires the immediate attention of every Indian. And when it comes to doing their bit, Bollywood has never been far behind. First Nan Patekar came out in support of the suffering farmers and then we had Akshay Kumar donating a sum of Rs 90 lakh that will reportedly support 180 families of farmers of the Marathwada region who committed suicide. The actor might refuse to talk about his philanthropic work, but he does not intend to stop at mere donations…

The actor was in Delhi recently for an event that aimed at raising funds to help draught-hit farmers. While there, Akshay decided to meet with Delhi CM, Arwind Kejriwal to discuss farmers’ issues. A statement from Directorate of Information and Publicity mentioned that in their 30-minute long meeting the two discussed issues related to the farming sector, growing farmers’ suicides and ways to help farmers get out of the distress situation.
